The Rural and Environmental Industries Support Fund, affiliated with Egypt’s Ministry of Social Solidarity, has delivered two entrepreneurship training sessions for beneficiaries of the Takaful and Karama program in Assiut.
Held in the Abnoub and Al-Qusiya districts, the sessions were organised in partnership with Banque Misr and the Upper Egypt Development Association as part of the Smart Microfinance project, which is funded by the bank.
The training focused on preparing participants to access available financing for income-generating microenterprises. Topics included selecting and developing a business idea, assessing market needs, preparing a business plan, calculating costs and pricing, and managing marketing and finances.
According to the announcement, the initiative combines financing, training, technical preparation and ongoing support to help beneficiaries turn ideas into viable projects and strengthen their path toward economic independence.
