The Faculty of Commerce at Beni Suef University is expanding its academic, research and professional programs to better prepare students for Egypt’s changing job market and digital economy, according to a report by Rosa El Youssef.
The faculty has introduced programs including international accounting and finance, alongside English-language study tracks. It has also increased its use of applied business cases and advanced discussions around student graduation projects, linking classroom learning more closely to the needs of companies and economic institutions.
Dean Eid Abu Bakr said the faculty’s strategy goes beyond academic education by developing students’ digital, language and analytical skills. He added that the institution plans to expand training partnerships with banks and investment companies, while regularly updating its curricula.
Its professional graduate offerings include a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA). The programs are designed for leadership and practical management development, and are open to graduates from fields including medicine, pharmacy, engineering, law, computer science and artificial intelligence. Flexible schedules are intended to accommodate working professionals.
The faculty also runs student activities, advanced training courses and entrepreneurship workshops for students and recent graduates. Vice Dean Mervat Hussein said these initiatives focus on leadership, innovation and teamwork.
In research and community engagement, the faculty is encouraging international academic publishing and providing economic and social consultations to support business and investment in Upper Egypt.
