Burgan Bank and CODED Academy have marked the completion of the 2026 edition of Academy X, a Kuwait-based program focused on developing young women’s skills in technology, innovation and entrepreneurship.
The program, supported by Burgan as a strategic sponsor for the second consecutive year, offered two tracks covering tech entrepreneurship and AI marketing. Participants worked on practical projects designed to help them turn ideas into technology-driven solutions.
According to the announcement, more than 1,000 students have graduated from Academy X over the two years of Burgan’s sponsorship. The program also introduced participants to financial and banking literacy through the “Let’s Be Aware” campaign, including saving, financial planning, fraud prevention and the safe use of banking products and services.
The closing ceremony included recognition for the team behind the best project in AI and emerging technologies. The winning team received a financial prize for its innovative use of skills developed during the program.
Burgan representatives said the initiative supports the bank’s focus on youth development, women’s empowerment and future-ready skills, in line with Kuwait’s development goals. CODED co-founder and chief operating officer Hashem Behbehani said the partnership reflects a shared belief in preparing Kuwaiti talent for the technology sector and future employment opportunities.
