Careem, the region’s leading everything app, has announced the launch of its inaugural Careem Awards, a new initiative set to honour the best of the UAE’s vibrant culinary scene. The awards will recognise excellence across both food delivery and dine-in experiences, with public voting now open to customers in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Bridging Delivery and Dine-In
In a first for the country, the Careem Awards will be the only restaurant awards program to combine both delivery and dine-in formats. This unique approach aims to provide UAE residents with a comprehensive guide to the most beloved restaurants for any occasion, acknowledging the evolving habits of modern diners who seamlessly switch between ordering in and eating out. The initiative leverages Careem’s deep integration into the local F&B ecosystem, celebrating its partner restaurants that excel in both service models.
A Customer-Driven Celebration
The winners of the Careem Awards will be determined entirely by public vote, empowering customers to champion their favourite eateries. More than 180 restaurants have been shortlisted across 30 distinct categories, including Restaurant of the Year, Best Burger, Best Coffee, Best Indian, Best Levantine, and Best Sushi. Voting is accessible directly through the Careem app by selecting the ‘Food’ tile and tapping the ‘Careem Awards’ banner. The voting period concludes on October 15th, with the winners set to be revealed at a flagship awards ceremony in Dubai on October 29th.
Spotlighting Culinary Excellence
The nominee list features a diverse mix of popular chains and local gems, with fan-favourites such as P.F. Chang’s, Kaak Al Manara, Gazebo, High Joint, and % Arabica among those shortlisted. The awards underscore Careem’s commitment to supporting and celebrating the culinary talent that defines the UAE’s dynamic food landscape.
