Chocolate Finance has launched in the UAE, expanding its investment services beyond Singapore and Hong Kong.
UAE residents and international non-residents can open accounts and invest in UAE dirhams, US dollars or both. The platform offers returns of 4.4% per year on the first AED 100,000 or US$25,000, with returns of up to 4.4% on amounts above those thresholds, subject to the company’s terms.
The service has no minimum investment requirement or lock-in period. Its top-up programme applies to investments within the stated thresholds.
Founder Walter de Oude said the UAE business uses a different structure from Chocolate Finance’s operations in Singapore and Hong Kong. Instead of investing through third-party funds, it uses the company’s proprietary Chocolate Global Income Fund.
According to de Oude, the structure reduces operating costs and enables the company to offer slightly higher returns. Chocolate Finance said both the company and the fund are licensed and regulated by the UAE’s Capital Market Authority.
The company cautioned that invested capital is at risk and that past performance does not guarantee future returns.
