CreativAI Builds a Queryable Data Layer for Visual and Physical AI

Mohamed Elhoseiny and Waleed Shaarani are building CreativAI around a simple idea: turning what cameras see into structured, queryable data for enterprises, AI agents and robots.

The founders describe the platform as an “SQL layer” for visual and physical AI. It transforms video into a continuously updated knowledge base covering people, objects, actions and events, while linking each record back to the relevant moment in the original footage.

According to the company, this approach is designed to help organizations query physical environments across factories, airports, hospitals, logistics operations, media archives and other settings. Instead of creating a new machine-learning pipeline for every question, users could define and query the events that matter to their own operations.

CreativAI is also targeting robotics and autonomous vehicles, where machines need persistent visual memory rather than isolated frame-by-frame perception. The company said it is working with design partners in autonomous vehicles and robotics, alongside potential applications in public safety, industrial operations and visual-data infrastructure.

Elhoseiny brings research and industry experience from KAUST, Stanford, Meta FAIR and Adobe. Shaarani is the company’s founding CCO. CreativAI has received support through AWS, Google for Startups, Microsoft for Startups and NVIDIA Inception, including infrastructure and compute resources.

The startup plans to focus on one major opportunity before expanding into additional verticals, reusing the same underlying technology across industries.
