The 63rd Damascus International Fair is bringing together around 1,000 companies, public entities and business organisations from 60 countries, with its opening days focused on investment meetings and commercial partnerships.
Held at Damascus Expo City under the theme “Syria Shines Again,” the fair has highlighted opportunities in real estate development, construction, infrastructure and energy. Participating companies from Syria and abroad have discussed technology transfers, distribution agreements and potential local partnerships.
A Turkish manufacturer of scaffolding and concrete systems said it had reached preliminary understandings to establish a local production line. Saudi energy solutions provider Absel said it had opened a branch and assembled a Syrian technical and field team to support major projects with generators, solar systems and temporary power panels.
The Syrian Energy Ministry is also presenting projects and investment opportunities across oil, electricity and water resources, according to the announcement. Companies from Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey are showcasing cement, plastics, sanitary equipment and water systems while seeking local agents and business partners.
The first three days were reserved for businesspeople, investors and official delegations. Participants said the format helped them meet buyers, distributors and potential partners, though the commercial impact will depend on follow-up discussions and agreements. The fair continues through September 4, with public visiting hours from 5pm to 11pm.
