Deliveroo UAE has launched Deliveroo Reservations, a new in-app feature that allows users to book tables at restaurants directly, signaling a major strategic expansion beyond its core delivery business. The service, powered by restaurant technology platform SevenRooms, aims to transform the app into a fully integrated dining platform, starting with a pilot in Dubai.

From Delivery to Dine-In: A Strategic Shift

The introduction of Deliveroo Reservations marks a significant step in the company’s ambition to become a comprehensive food service platform. By integrating SevenRooms’ reservation technology, Deliveroo is providing its large user base with direct access to book tables at a curated list of Dubai’s dining spots, including some of the city’s most popular venues. This move positions Deliveroo to capture a larger share of the customer’s dining journey, from ordering in to dining out.

Boosting In-Store Sales for Dubai Restaurants

For restaurant partners, the integration offers a new channel to drive in-store traffic and increase visibility among Deliveroo’s active users. The system connects directly with SevenRooms’ platform, meaning all bookings, availability, and cancellations are updated instantly without requiring manual work from restaurant staff. This allows restaurants to manage their dine-in and delivery operations more efficiently from a single point of integration.
