DIFC Innovation Hub and the Pakistan Digital Authority will launch the Pakistan FinTech Summit on 18-19 August 2026, marking the first international expansion of the Dubai FinTech Summit.
The event will bring together policymakers, financial institutions, technology companies, investors and innovators to support Pakistan’s digital finance ecosystem and explore cross-border opportunities between Pakistan, the UAE and South Asia.
According to the announcement, the summit will feature startup showcases, investor programmes, regulatory roundtables and curated sessions involving regulators from both countries. It is also expected to provide a platform for strategic agreements, investment announcements and product launches.
Pakistan’s fintech sector attracted $52.5M in funding during the first half of 2025, while 450 fintech companies had raised $391M in venture capital by late November 2025, according to the announcement.
The organisers said the summit will address challenges including cash dependence, infrastructure constraints and limited access to digital financial services, particularly in rural areas. The initiative is part of Pakistan’s broader Digital Nation agenda and aims to strengthen the country’s position in the international fintech landscape.
