Dubai has launched the Create AI Agents Championship, a global competition offering more than AED2.5 million ($680K) in prizes and grants for new agentic AI solutions.

Announced by Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the competition replaces the Create Apps Championship, which was run by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy. It aims to support AI-agent concepts that can develop into scalable products, services or businesses.

The competition has four categories: Best Societal AI Agent, Best Personal AI Agent, Best Business AI Agent and Best Youth AI Agent. Each category winner will receive an AED550,000 grant, while one winner will also be named AI Agent of the Year and receive AED1 million.

Applicants can enter individually or as teams from anywhere in the world, with no minimum age requirement. They can submit an idea, prototype or early-stage MVP. Existing businesses may enter new AI-agent solutions, but fully commercialised products are not eligible. The youth category is limited to applicants under 21 at registration.

Registration closes in December 2026. Entries must include a prototype, pitch deck and demo video. Introductory workshops will be followed by a Digital Academy in November, featuring advanced courses, practical workshops and mentorship.
