Egypt’s Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) has announced the signing of 55 major agreements with leading multinational and local technology companies, a landmark move designed to accelerate the nation’s growth as a premier global hub for business process outsourcing (BPO) and digital services. The deals involve industry giants such as Teleperformance, Accenture, Deloitte, VOIS, Luxoft, RSA, and Capgemini.
The signing ceremony, held under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, underscored Egypt’s strengthening position in the global offshoring market, built upon its robust talent pool, advanced infrastructure, and significant cost advantages.
A Strategic Push for a Knowledge-Driven Economy
These new partnerships are set to create thousands of high-value jobs for young Egyptians across BPO, IT, engineering, and advanced technology services. The initiative is a core component of Egypt’s national strategy to bolster its offshoring sector and reinforces its ambition to cultivate a competitive, knowledge-driven digital economy.
Global Confidence in Egypt’s RISE Formula
Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Dr. Amr Talaat, attributed Egypt’s rapid ascent as a technology hub to its “RISE” formula—Reliable talent, Infrastructure readiness, Strategic proximity to global markets, and an Efficient cost structure.
“The 55 companies expanding into Egypt this year alone will generate more than 70,000 jobs over the next three years, demonstrating global trust in Egypt as a long-term partner for digital services,” Dr. Talaat noted.
A Milestone for Egypt’s Offshoring Strategy
ITIDA CEO Eng. Ahmed Elzaher described the agreements as a significant milestone for Egypt’s digital economy, highlighting the success of the country’s three-year Offshoring Strategy.
He emphasised that the growing presence of major global delivery centres in Egypt is a clear indicator of the nation’s readiness to meet the surging international demand for skilled digital services. The expansion signals renewed economic momentum, cementing Egypt’s status as a top-tier destination for global enterprises seeking high-quality, cost-efficient digital talent.
