The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) and MINT, the business accelerator backed by EGBANK, have signed a memorandum of understanding to support Egypt’s fintech ecosystem and strengthen investment awareness among young people and entrepreneurs.
The partnership is designed to help startups better understand capital markets and identify opportunities for growth and expansion. It brings together EGX’s capital markets expertise and MINT’s work with young entrepreneurs and startups.
The joint program will include the MINT × EGX fintech hackathon and a series of financial literacy training sessions. The hackathon will focus on investment and trading, encouraging startups to develop technology solutions for capital market needs.
Selected startups will also have access to guidance from EGX on relevant areas and regulatory requirements, helping them navigate the capital markets environment and assess potential development opportunities.
The training program, supported by specialized content from EGX, will cover financial independence, responsible money management and informed investing. According to the announcement, the broader initiative aims to connect Egypt’s banking sector, capital markets and entrepreneurship ecosystem while encouraging innovation in financial technology.
