A team from Delta University of Technology has secured second place in an entrepreneurship competition organized by the Electronics Research Institute, paving the way for their innovative project to be developed into a full-fledged startup. The team, Helio Holo, gained recognition for its solar-powered 3D holographic display system.

Merging Solar Power with Holographic Tech
The award-winning project is a 3D hologram display system powered entirely by solar energy. Developed under the supervision of Dr. Amr Abdel-Hadi and Dr. Mahmoud Hassanin, the system aims to reduce reliance on traditional power sources by combining modern display technology with a sustainable energy solution.
The project is designed for use in both educational and advertising applications. The entire system can be operated and controlled remotely through a dedicated mobile application, offering users ease of access and management.
From Competition to Commercialization
Following the competition, the Electronics Research Institute announced it will provide the necessary support for the Helio Holo team to establish a startup. This includes connecting the founders with investors and strategic partners to back the project’s development and marketing phases, helping to transform the concept into a commercially viable product for the market.
