Egyptian edtech company UMAMI E-Learning Solutions has launched its Learning Operating System (LOS™), backed by a phased investment exceeding EGP 50 million.
The platform is designed for governments, ministries and large institutions across the MENA region. UMAMI said LOS™ combines learning, skills, performance and decision-making in one system, with the capacity to support millions of users across education, healthcare, technical and vocational training, and corporate environments.
The Cairo-based company said the platform was developed to help institutions connect learning activity with workforce readiness and measurable organisational outcomes, moving beyond traditional content delivery.
UMAMI also said it is among the first Egyptian companies to receive the official Startup Label Certificate under the national Startup Charter. The framework recognises startups based on criteria including innovation, scalability and investment readiness.
Founded in 2019, UMAMI has supported learning and workforce development initiatives in more than 35 countries. The company said its systems have reached more than 10 million people globally, supported by a team of over 70 full-time professionals.
UMAMI was also named among the 2026 Top 100 Entrepreneurs in Africa by African Business Heroes, according to the announcement.
