Entrepreneurs’ Organization Bahrain (EO Bahrain) has announced the judging committee for the Farouk Almoayyed Bahrain Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA Bahrain), the local chapter of the premier global competition for student founders. The competition, which will take place on April 12, is named in honour of the late Bahraini business leader Farouk Almoayyed to recognize his contributions to the Kingdom’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

A Jury of Public and Private Sector Heavyweights
The judging panel for the competition brings together a notable group of leaders from Bahrain’s public and private sectors. The committee includes Amal Almoayyed, Executive Director at Ashrafs; Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, Chief Executive of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen); Ahmed Al-Daylami, General Manager at Y.K. Almoayyed & Sons; and Ali Al-Aradi, CEO of Banking Services at Bahrain Development Bank. Naser Salah Al-Tattan, Head of Commercial Banking and SMEs, will also join the panel.
The program’s organizing team from EO Bahrain includes Bob Thacker as Program Chair, Renuka Ravindran as Co-Chair, Fareed Bader as President of EO Bahrain, and Cristina Toledo as Chapter Manager.
Strategic Partnership to Boost Local Talent
The award is being delivered through a strategic partnership with Almoayyed Computer Middle East (ACME), a leading regional technology solutions provider. The collaboration aims to connect student entrepreneurs with practical market expertise, helping them develop their ideas into sustainable ventures.

The GSEA Bahrain competition provides a platform for student entrepreneurs to present their projects to a panel of experts and investors, gaining practical experience to grow their businesses. Participants will be evaluated on criteria including innovation, sustainability, scalability, and the economic and social impact of their ventures.
Thacker added, “The Farouk Almoayyed Bahrain Global Student Entrepreneur Awards represents an integrated platform that allows student entrepreneurs to present their projects to a selection of experts and investors and gain practical experience that contributes to the development of their businesses. The initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen Bahrain’s entrepreneurial environment in line with the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, which focuses on economic diversification and empowering youth innovation.
