Fortis Digital Solutions has partnered with Paymob to bring its SmartPOS software directly to Paymob payment terminals in the UAE.
The integration turns the terminals into a broader point-of-sale system, adding order management, customer profiles, loyalty programmes and daily sales tracking alongside card and cash acceptance, shift management and reporting.
Merchants can also use Fortis’ cloud platform to monitor sales, orders and inventory in real time across their business. New Paymob customers can activate SmartPOS during onboarding, while existing merchants can have the software installed remotely without replacing their hardware.
Fortis managing director Sandeep Gomes said the integration is designed to help small and medium-sized businesses digitise operations without replacing the systems they already use.
Nour Abdelmotteleb, head of partnerships at Paymob, said the partnership expands the role of Paymob’s terminals beyond payment acceptance and gives merchants greater visibility into their operations.
The partnership comes as UAE SMEs increasingly seek tools that combine payments with broader business management capabilities.
