Fujairah University and the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to connect higher education more closely with the emirate’s business sector and prepare young Emirati talent for the job market.
The agreement was signed at Fujairah University by Mohammed Ahmed Al Yamahi, chairman of the chamber’s board, and Dr. Suleiman Mousa Al Jassim, president of Fujairah University, in the presence of Sultan Juma Al Hindasi, director general of the chamber.
The partnership will provide university students with practical and field training opportunities at private-sector companies. It also covers joint training programs, workshops and events focused on entrepreneurship and innovation, as well as support for small and medium-sized enterprises.
The two institutions will also exchange expertise, economic studies and research aimed at strengthening the local business environment. According to the announcement, the collaboration is aligned with Fujairah’s development priorities and the chamber’s strategic objectives for 2026 to 2030.
Al Yamahi said the partnership would help align university outcomes with labour-market needs and give young people opportunities to build professional experience. Al Jassim said the agreement would expand professional training, applied research and entrepreneurship initiatives while linking academic programs more closely to business requirements.
