HPE plans to triple the production capacity of its server manufacturing line in Saudi Arabia as it expands local manufacturing and positions the kingdom as a regional production and export base.
The company began producing HPE ProLiant servers locally in Riyadh in 2024 through a partnership with Alfanar. According to the announcement, production in Saudi Arabia has now exceeded 3,000 servers, with locally made products exported to Gulf markets as well as Jordan and Egypt.
HPE said the next phase will increase output and expand the range of products made in the kingdom to meet demand from businesses, data centers and organizations investing in digital infrastructure and artificial intelligence.
The expansion is part of HPE’s Saudi Made program. At LEAP 2026, the company announced a Saudi Made, Developed, Deployed initiative with Intel and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to support locally developed AI solutions. HPE also said the program would expand into storage products and integrated infrastructure systems.
In August 2026, HPE introduced locally made ProLiant Compute DL360 and DL380 Gen12 servers powered by Intel Xeon 6 processors. The company said the products are designed to support more efficient and secure computing for data analytics and AI workloads.
