The Jordanian Entrepreneurship Association and Russia’s Youth Diplomatic Academy have signed a memorandum of understanding to expand cooperation in entrepreneurship, innovation, youth empowerment, education, technology and research.
The agreement is expected to support grants and other programs for entrepreneurs and innovators in Jordan, alongside competitions, incubation and development opportunities. The association said details of the initiatives will be announced in the coming months.
The partnership was highlighted during the opening session of the 2026 Kazan Global Youth Summit in Russia’s Tatarstan, which was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and senior Russian and international officials.
According to the announcement, planned cooperation will connect Jordanian startups with investors, experts, innovation networks and support organisations in Russia and Tatarstan. It will also explore opportunities to attract Russian technology projects and investment to Jordan.
Bilal Al-Wadi, chief executive of the Jordanian Entrepreneurship Association, said the partnership could help Jordanian founders access new sources of financing, expertise and international markets. Areas of interest include venture capital, crowdfunding, startup incubation and acceleration, and the commercialisation of technology.
The association also pointed to Russian innovation ecosystems such as Skolkovo and Tatarstan’s Innopolis special economic zone as potential models for knowledge exchange and future collaboration.
