The Al-Qantara Center has concluded its “Entrepreneurship and Small Project Management” training program in Ma’an, Jordan. The initiative, supported by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), aimed to equip 50 young women with the skills needed to establish and manage their own sustainable businesses.

Building a Foundation for Local Ventures
The program provided participants with a comprehensive curriculum covering the fundamentals of launching and operating a small business. The training modules included key areas such as opportunity discovery, developing entrepreneurial ideas, and evaluating project feasibility.
Participants also received practical instruction on conducting market studies, identifying target customers, and analyzing competitors to understand market needs. The financial component of the training covered cost calculation, pricing strategies for profitability, and managing income and expenses effectively.
From Training to Business Plan
A key outcome of the training was empowering each participant to create a preliminary business plan for her proposed project. This hands-on approach ensured that the women not only gained theoretical knowledge but also developed a clear roadmap for launching and managing their ventures professionally.
The training also covered customer service essentials and the basics of building a successful marketing mix, giving the aspiring founders a well-rounded understanding of how to grow their businesses and enhance their chances of success in the local market.
