Endeavor Jordan has announced the selection of Amjad Masad and Haya Odeh, the founders of the AI-powered software platform Replit, as Endeavor Entrepreneurs. The selection, which took place at the 57th Virtual International Selection Panel, marks a significant moment for the region’s tech ecosystem, representing Endeavor’s first unicorn selection from Jordan and its 100th unicorn globally.

From Amman to a Global AI Powerhouse
Raised in Jordan, Amjad Masad developed an early interest in programming, which led him to a Computer Science degree from Princess Sumaya University for Technology. His career includes being the first employee at Codecademy and later a key engineer at Facebook. Together with his wife and co-founder, Haya Odeh, whose expertise in user experience and product design shaped Replit’s platform, they built one of the world’s leading AI-native software development platforms.
Their success story serves as a powerful model for ambitious founders from Jordan and the broader Arab world. In addition to joining the network, Masad and Odeh were also named Endeavor Outliers for the Class of 2026, a title reserved for founders of Endeavor’s highest-performing companies.

Giving Back to the Kingdom
Beyond their global achievements, the founders maintain strong ties to Jordan’s innovation ecosystem. During Jordan’s 80th Independence Day celebrations, His Majesty King Abdullah II awarded Masad the King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein Order for Distinction of the Second Degree for his contributions to the technology sector and his support for local startups.
Replit is also actively involved in education within the country. Through a partnership with the Jordanian government, Replit’s AI learning assistant, Siraj, is being used by over 100,000 students and teachers in public schools to expand access to AI-powered education.
