In a move to strengthen the region’s talent pipeline, Jordan-based Musawah Foundation for Training and Human Rights has partnered with Masar Educational Academy to launch a specialized entrepreneurship workshop aimed at aspiring young founders. The program, led by Dr. Hiba Haddadin, General Manager of Musawah, is designed to equip participants with the practical skills needed to navigate the startup ecosystem.
Quick Facts
- Initiative: Joint entrepreneurship training workshop.
- Participants: Over 25 youth from Jordan, Egypt, and Tunisia.
- Goal: Equip aspiring founders with essential business-building skills.
A Cross-Border Approach to Skill-Building
The workshop brought together a diverse cohort of over 25 participants from across Jordan, as well as from Egypt and Tunisia. This cross-border approach aims to foster a collaborative environment, encouraging the exchange of ideas and the formation of professional networks among the next generation of MENA innovators.
The program’s core objective is to provide young men and women with the necessary tools and knowledge to develop their entrepreneurial abilities. By focusing on creating innovative solutions for pressing economic and social issues, the initiative seeks to empower participants to become effective community leaders and founders capable of managing their own ventures.
From Idea to Impact
The curriculum was structured around key pillars designed for practical application. It focused on guiding attendees through the process of transforming nascent ideas into viable business projects with clear target beneficiaries.
A significant emphasis was placed on recognizing and amplifying the role of women in both economic and social entrepreneurship. The training also covered the key characteristics of successful founders and aimed to increase awareness of how entrepreneurship contributes to building a knowledge-based economy, aligning with Jordan’s national development plans. The initiative represents a sustained effort by both organizations to create a stimulating training environment that merges theory with practice.
