Qatar-based fintech company KARTY has partnered with Qatar Airways Privilege Club to allow eligible users to convert KPoints into Avios directly through the KARTY app.
Under the partnership, users can exchange two KPoints for one Avios. The loyalty currency can be redeemed for award flights with Qatar Airways, oneworld and other partner airlines, as well as flight upgrades, Qatar Airways Holidays packages, and shopping and dining at Qatar Duty Free.
KPoints are earned through eligible spending and in-app challenges. According to the announcement, KARTY users have already converted more than one million KPoints into Avios since the feature became available.
The partnership adds to the travel-related benefits offered to KARTY Visa cardholders, which include airport lounge access for up to six visits per year, international transaction fee features, expense tracking, and the ability to freeze or unfreeze cards through the app.
The conversion feature is available to eligible users through KARTY’s iOS and Android applications.
KARTY said the partnership supports its broader focus on bringing payments, money management and rewards together in a single digital financial experience.
