Lebanon-based AlphaLab, which is developing an AI-powered quantitative research platform, has won the LAIN Pitch Competition at Experia and been selected for a potential equity investment of up to $100,000, subject to final Investment Committee approval.

AlphaLab has won the LAIN Pitch Competition, organized by the Lebanese Angel Investor Network (LAIN) in partnership with Endeavor Lebanon at Experia.

The startup is building an AI-powered quantitative research platform and was selected for an equity investment of up to $100,000 from LAIN. The investment remains subject to final approval by the fund’s Investment Committee.

The competition brought together five Lebanese startups: AlphaLab, askLex, Echo Silence, Kanz and Storyland, highlighting emerging entrepreneurial talent across the country.

LAIN was initiated by Lebanon’s Ministry of Technology and Artificial Intelligence (MITAI Lebanon) and is operated by BY Venture Partners. The initiative aims to mobilize Lebanese capital to invest in early-stage Lebanese founders, whether they are building their companies locally or abroad.

Through its investment model, LAIN seeks to connect the Lebanese diaspora with the country’s startup ecosystem, providing founders with capital, strategic guidance and operational support. According to its website, 50% of generated profits will be allocated to rebuilding Lebanon’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
