Meta Expands Muse AI Agent With Smart Glasses, Mac Tools and Shopping Integrations

Meta is rapidly expanding Muse, its personal AI agent launched in early September, with new tools for managing tasks across apps, computers, email and connected devices.

At the company’s annual Connect event in Menlo Park, Meta said Muse will soon work with its smart glasses, allowing users to request tasks such as logging meals, booking appointments, guiding workouts and buying products. The agent will work in the background and check back when tasks are complete.

Muse is also coming to Mac, where it will be able to operate desktop applications and handle assigned work while users are away. Meta is developing a dedicated email address for the agent, allowing users to add it to email threads or forward messages for action.

The company announced integrations with Stripe, Shopify, PayPal, Best Buy, Gap, Sephora, Walmart, Wayfair, Expedia and other services. Meta said more than 1,500 developers applied to build connectors for the platform in less than a week.

Users will also be able to create a digital avatar for Muse and communicate with it through real-time video. Meta said the avatar, known internally as Jolly, will be powered by a new Muse Realtime Avatar model.

Meta also introduced camera-free Ray-Ban Meta Audio glasses, starting at $349, with Muse access, calls, translation and audio playback. Preorders open October 13. The company separately unveiled new camera-equipped AI glasses and a VR glasses product starting at $1,299.99.
