Metrak Makes AI Voice Reporting Free for Construction Contractors

3 Min Read

Jordanian-built construction management platform Metrak has launched free AI-powered voice reporting, allowing contractors to turn spoken updates in Arabic or English into daily site reports, expenses and tasks.

Metrak, a construction management platform developed by a team in Amman, Jordan, and Fréjus, France, has made its AI-powered voice reporting features free across all plans, aiming to reduce the administrative burden on construction teams across the Middle East and North Africa.

The platform allows site teams to describe their daily activities in Arabic or English and automatically generate structured records. For example, a foreman can report the day’s workforce, expenses and weather-related delays in a single sentence. Metrak’s AI assistant, Ask Metrak, then prepares the relevant reports and expense entries for review before they are saved.

The “Speak to fill” feature is available across daily progress reports, site reports, tasks, requests for information (RFIs), non-conformance reports and expenses. It can capture information such as worker numbers, equipment hours, delivered materials, completed work, site issues and safety notes.

Visitors can also test the “Say your day” feature on Metrak’s website without creating an account.

The update also introduces automatic document filing and browser- and mobile-based viewing of AutoCAD drawings, with issues that can be pinned to specific locations on a drawing.

Metrak offers additional tools for project budgets and cost control, bills of quantities, procurement, subcontractor management, quality and safety records, invoicing and cash flow. The platform is available on the web and Android in seven languages.

The new voice features are available now on the Metrak website and its Android app. Metrak offers a free plan without requiring a credit card, while paid plans start at $39 per month.
