MIS Holdings says it has invested more than $10M since 2025 in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, fintech, blockchain and startup development as Syria’s digital economy evolves.

Founded by British-Syrian entrepreneur Ahmad Assi and blockchain specialist Humam Hamwi, the company builds cloud-enabled SaaS platforms designed to replace manual business processes and support enterprise operations.

Its technology supports Haram Pyramid Transfer across more than 270 branches, around 5,000 employees and approximately 300,000 customer interactions each day. The platform also includes more than 400 API integrations and tools for transaction processing, compliance, customer relationship management, reporting and analytics.

MIS Holdings also contributed to eCash Pay, which the company describes as Syria’s first payment gateway and mobile wallet licensed by the Central Bank of Syria. The platform is integrated with 11 Syrian banks and is expanding to additional banks and microfinance institutions, according to the announcement.

The company has built enterprise hosting facilities in Damascus and Aleppo to support local cloud services, payment technologies and AI workloads. It is also developing consumer platforms, including Evento for event discovery and ticketing, Wazifni for AI-powered recruitment, and Awfar for loyalty, cashback and merchant engagement. Awfar is expected to include buy now, pay later capabilities in the future.
