Morocco Accelerator’s Second Cohort Raises 20M MAD, Opens Applications for Third Batch

The Morocco Accelerator, a key initiative boosting Morocco’s tech scene, has graduated its second cohort of 19 startups after an intensive three-month program. The graduation, marked by an “Expo Day” at Technopark Casablanca, showcased the startups’ innovative solutions to investors and corporate partners.

A Partnership Powering Moroccan Tech

The accelerator is the result of a strategic partnership between Technopark Morocco and global innovation platform Plug and Play. It is funded by the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform as part of the broader “Digital Morocco 2030” strategy, which aims to fast-track the growth of the country’s technology startups and connect them to global markets.

The graduating cohort featured companies operating across diverse sectors including artificial intelligence, fintech, healthtech, agritech, robotics, and logistics.

Tangible Results: Funding and Strategic Deals

The program’s impact is reflected in its outcomes. The 19 participating companies collectively raised over 20 million MAD in investments.

The accelerator facilitated more than 130 individual mentoring sessions, established over 200 connections with investors and strategic partners, and arranged more than 75 B2B meetings with major corporations. These efforts have led to the negotiation of over 15 strategic contracts and partnerships, which are currently being finalized.

Afdal and Notus Head to Silicon Valley

During the closing ceremony, startups Afdal and Notus were recognized as the top-performing companies of the cohort. As a prize, they will represent the Moroccan ecosystem at the Plug and Play Winter Summit in Silicon Valley, one of the world’s leading events for innovation and investment.

With the successful conclusion of the second batch, the program’s organizers have officially opened applications for the third cohort, continuing their mission to support and scale the next generation of Moroccan tech companies.
