Moroccan-based logistics startup Logidoo has announced the acquisition of Kamtar, a major player in digital road transport based in Côte d’Ivoire. This strategic move is set to extend Logidoo’s regional footprint and consolidate its hybrid model, which combines physical infrastructure with digital platforms to streamline cross-border commerce between North and West Africa.
A Strategic Push Into West Africa
The acquisition marks a significant milestone in Logidoo’s mission to build a unified network of logistics corridors across the continent. By integrating Kamtar’s expertise in B2B transport management and regional fleet operations, Logidoo strengthens its presence on key routes, including the Casablanca-Dakar and Morocco-Côte d’Ivoire corridors. The deal aims to provide clients with more integrated, reliable, and competitive transport solutions for intra-African trade.
“The acquisition of Kamtar reinforces our ability to connect African markets and accelerate the creation of an integrated logistics network serving African businesses,” stated Tamsir Ousmane Traoré, Founder and CEO of Logidoo Group.
Integrating A Hybrid Logistics Ecosystem
Logidoo enriches its existing technology stack with this acquisition, which is built around four complementary solutions designed to create a comprehensive logistics and commerce ecosystem. This integrated system includes:
- Logidoo: The company’s flagship platform for international parcel and merchandise transport.
- TexMiles: A specialist in last-mile delivery and national messaging services in Senegal.
- Afridoo: An ERP/OMS/WMS suite tailored for African merchants and e-commerce businesses.
- Doomaket: A B2B marketplace that connects African merchants with international suppliers, offering integrated payment, stocking, and livraison services.
Pan-African Expansion And Scale
Headquartered in Morocco and with a significant presence in Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, and Tunisia, Logidoo is pursuing an aggressive expansion strategy across the continent. The company is currently active in eight countries, serving over 800 clients and having completed more than 200,000 operations.
