Parkin and Amakin Sign MoU to Explore Smart Parking Integration Across the GCC

2 Min Read

Dubai-based Parkin Company has signed a memorandum of understanding with Bahrain Car Parks Company, Amakin, to explore cooperation in parking technology, digital payments, mobility data and regional business development.

The agreement provides a framework for combining the companies’ digital platforms, operational capabilities and market expertise to improve parking services in the UAE and Bahrain, with potential expansion into other GCC and international markets.

Parkin and Amakin will assess whether their digital systems can be connected to streamline operations and create a more consistent customer experience. They will also study the feasibility of allowing customers to access and pay for parking across both networks through the companies’ existing mobile applications. The announcement does not confirm that cross-platform payments are currently available.

The companies also plan to explore mobility data applications, including demand forecasting, space availability, traffic flow and operational planning.

Parkin CEO Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali said the collaboration could help extend the company’s smart parking capabilities beyond Dubai. Amakin CEO Tariq Ali Aljowder said the partnership aims to improve convenience through faster payments and more accurate information on parking availability.

The MoU also covers potential joint business opportunities across the GCC and selected international markets.
