Port Said University has signed two cooperation protocols with Egypt’s General Authority for Investment and Free Zones and the Foreign Trade Training Center to support investment, entrepreneurship and export-focused skills development.
The agreements were signed during the second round of the “Egypt Goes Exporting” initiative in Port Said, with participation from government officials, business representatives and export-sector stakeholders.
Under the first protocol, the university and the investment authority will collaborate on academic, research and training activities. The partnership includes developing programs for students and graduates, organising workshops and conferences, exchanging experts and lecturers, and supporting entrepreneurship. The university will also provide technical, research and economic consultancy to the authority when needed.
The second protocol, signed by the Foreign Trade Training Center and the university’s Career Development Center, will create a training pathway for recent graduates interested in export careers or launching export businesses. Participants will be nominated for programs funded by the Export Development Fund, including a program designed to prepare young graduates and entrepreneurs to access international markets.
According to the announcement, the training will cover export skills, preparation for export specialist roles, and the establishment and management of export companies. The university said the partnerships form part of its broader effort to connect education and research with investment, employment and business needs.
