Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP) recently hosted its “Build for QSTP” Hackathon, taking a unique approach to fostering innovation by challenging participants to develop AI-native solutions for its own internal operational hurdles. The event brought together student teams to tackle real-world problems within the tech hub’s workflows, tracking systems, and internal processes.

A Practical Approach to AI Innovation
Instead of theoretical problems, the hackathon focused on practical application. Participants were tasked with building AI-powered tools aimed directly at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of QSTP’s day-to-day operations.
Organizers noted that this edition of the event featured more competitive challenges and saw teams develop stronger, more practical solutions than in previous installments, highlighting a growing sophistication in the local student talent pool.
Top University Teams Emerge as Winners
After a competitive round of development and pitching, two teams were recognized for their outstanding solutions.
The winning teams were Algorithm Architects from Qatar University and Anthos from the University of Doha for Science & Technology (UDST). Both were congratulated for their highly practical and creative approaches to solving the challenges presented.
