Qatari logistics technology startup ShipBee has successfully closed a $500,000 Seed funding round. The investment was led by GrowthX Capital and will fuel the company’s strategy to expand its digital logistics platform across local and international markets.
AI-Powered Platform Expansion
The fresh capital is earmarked for significant advancements in ShipBee’s technology stack. The company plans to integrate artificial intelligence to enhance operational efficiency, optimize delivery routes, and improve the overall user experience. This funding will also support the expansion of its team and strengthen its network of service providers, positioning the startup for larger governmental and enterprise contracts.
A Unified Logistics Ecosystem
Founded in 2024 by Tamer Raafat and Amer Azani, ShipBee offers a comprehensive digital ecosystem designed to streamline shipping for both businesses and consumers. Its platform includes a digital marketplace for managing shipments, dedicated applications for customers and drivers, and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions for companies to manage local and cross-border transport operations.
The startup has already forged key partnerships with major players like Qatar Post, DHL, and the Chinese AI logistics firm NEXX, alongside a network of local retail and service companies. This investment follows a Pre-Seed round of $235,000 raised last year.
Investor Confidence in a Flexible Model
Hamad Al Hajri, Founder and CEO of GrowthX Capital, commented on the investment, highlighting the regional logistics sector’s need for innovative solutions to address new market challenges.
“The conditions of the logistics services sector in the region require new technical solutions that support the flexibility of supply chains and emerging market challenges,” Al Hajri stated. He noted that he believes ShipBee “possesses a flexible model that allows it to offer competitive products.”
