R-Chief Labs Builds AI-Powered Medical Research and Hospital Software in Lebanon

Beirut-based health-tech startup R-Chief Labs is developing software to connect medical research, hospital operations and clinical data across Lebanon and the wider region.

Founded in 2026 by physician and researcher Dr. Yehya Tlaiss, the company has launched two products. R-Chief Research helps doctors, residents and students discover clinical studies, collaborate on projects and track contributions through to publication. The platform is available on the web, App Store and Google Play.

Its first institutional partner was the University of Balamand, whose Faculty of Medicine adopted the platform. By September 2026, R-Chief Research was also available at the Lebanese American University and the American University of Beirut. The company said four additional universities are in discussions.

R-Chief Labs is also deploying RMR, a hospital information system covering admissions, appointments, clinical documentation, orders, operating theatres, imaging, billing, insurance, supply chain and reporting. Deployment began in July 2026.

The two products are designed to work together, allowing hospitals and teaching institutions to connect clinical operations with research activity. According to the company, the business was self-funded during its first year, with the team building from Beirut while R-Chief Labs Ltd. was incorporated in the UK.
