Saudi AI Company Shaffra Unveils Subconscious AI to Power Autonomous Enterprise Workforces

3 Min Read

Riyadh-based AI company Shaffra has launched ‘Subconscious AI’, a new cognitive architecture designed to change how enterprise AI systems manage and act on large-scale knowledge. The technology serves as a foundational intelligence layer for its Enterprise AI Workforce Platform, which helps organizations build and manage autonomous AI employees.

Quick Facts

  • New ‘Subconscious AI’ cognitive architecture launched.
  • Shaffra has raised over $10 million in funding.
  • Backed by investors including stc and Omantel.

Tackling Context Overload in Enterprise AI

With Subconscious AI, the platform’s autonomous AI employees for sales, operations, finance, and other departments gain improved memory and contextual awareness. Instead of repeatedly processing entire historical datasets, the system operates through a continuously updated cognitive layer that surfaces only the most relevant information in real time, mimicking how the human brain filters information.

“Enterprise AI cannot scale if every agent needs to consciously process everything at every step,” said Marc Wehbi, Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of Shaffra. “Human intelligence works because the brain continuously filters, compresses, and surfaces only what matters, and Subconscious AI brings that same principle into enterprise AI infrastructure. It changes the economics of running AI at enterprise scale, enabling organizations to reduce context overload, improve reasoning efficiency, and scale autonomous AI teams with greater control.”

The system combines persistent semantic and episodic memory with dynamic relevance detection and context compression. This approach enables more complex reasoning, shared knowledge across AI agents, and lower computational costs for enterprises.

Wehbi adds, “The next era of enterprise AI will not be defined only by larger models or longer context windows. It will be defined by systems that know what to remember, what to ignore, what to retrieve, and when to act.”

Building Foundational AI from the Kingdom

The launch aligns with Saudi Arabia’s national strategy under Vision 2030 to establish itself as a global AI hub. With annual ICT spending in the Kingdom exceeding SAR 170 billion (approximately USD 45 billion), the country represents the Middle East’s largest technology market.

Shaffra, which is backed by regional and international investors like stc, Omantel, and other global technology leaders, is chaired by Sergey Kravchenko, an investor in the company and former Senior Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer of Boeing Global Services. The debut of Subconscious AI underscores the company’s goal to build globally competitive AI infrastructure from Saudi Arabia, contributing to the nation’s growing reputation for advanced technology and enterprise innovation.
