Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and Savvy Games Group have signed a memorandum of understanding to develop national talent, create career pathways and support startups in the gaming and esports sector.

Signed on the sidelines of LEAP 2026, the agreement will establish cooperation around the ministry’s talent base and programs, alongside national academies including Tuwaiq Academy and the Digital Academy. The aim is to equip Saudi professionals with skills aligned with industry needs and raise awareness of career and employment opportunities in gaming and esports.

The partnership includes delivering Savvy Academy’s Gen-Next program through national academies, while participants in ministry programs will gain access to Savvy’s Masterclasses to strengthen their technical and professional capabilities.

The two sides also plan to integrate Savvy Academy’s Incubator 66Nine with the Digital Entrepreneurship Center’s CODE incubator. According to the announcement, this will expand access to specialist programs, expertise and growth opportunities for gaming startups.

The memorandum also includes discussions on expanding Savvy Academy’s Kickstarter program to reach more beneficiaries and provide additional opportunities for professional development and practical experience.
