The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) has launched Ibram, a platform that enables government entities and employees to digitally sign, seal and verify documents.
The platform is designed to support faster electronic transactions while maintaining security, reliability and legal validity, according to the announcement. More than 87 government entities are already using its services through the digital certification system.
Ibram’s main tools include digital seals and digital signatures. A digital seal verifies the identity of the government entity that issued a document and helps confirm its integrity and legal validity. A digital signature verifies the identity of the government employee signing a document and confirms approval of its contents.
SDAIA said the launch supports its efforts to provide government entities with reliable digital solutions, improve administrative procedures and advance Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 objectives for a sustainable digital economy and more effective government services.
