Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa) has highlighted the impact of its Stability Fund, which provided AED 5.1 million in financial and non-financial support to 74 startups and small and medium-sized businesses across the UAE.

The fund received 352 applications from entrepreneurs in all seven emirates and more than 20 sectors. According to Sheraa, support began within 45 days of the fund’s launch, helping companies address urgent financial and operational pressures.

The initiative was backed by more than 20 partners, whose contributions included funding, professional services, operational support, market access and connections to potential customers. Sheraa said the fund was designed to help businesses maintain operations and regain momentum during challenging conditions.

The centre said 44% of applicants had less than two months of cash runway, while 16% had less than one month. It cited examples including Chocoleaf, which moved to a new facility without halting production, AJADA, which redesigned and relaunched its product, and Eshara AI, which rebuilt its core cloud infrastructure.

The update came during a Sheraa advisory council meeting chaired by Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi. The council also reviewed progress on the Sheraa 2030 strategy and preparations for the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival 2027.
