The Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa) has opened applications for the second edition of the Sharjah Women Impact Fellowship (SWIF), a six-month programme for women founders and SME owners looking to scale their ventures in Sharjah.

Applications are open until September 13. Eligible applicants must lead ventures with meaningful traction, demonstrated through revenue, active users, pilot projects or signed partnerships, and be committed to expanding their operations in Sharjah.

The fellowship will provide executive coaching, personalised mentorship and access to strategic networks. Its new LEAD Framework focuses on four areas: leading oneself, equipping the venture, amplifying professional presence and driving impact.

Participants will also receive access to Sheraa’s wider membership support, including its SME and Startup Tracks, with opportunities to connect with investors, strategic partners, industry experts and other entrepreneurs.

According to Sheraa, the inaugural cohort saw most fellows expand their teams, while improvements in investor readiness contributed to better funding outcomes and strategic business connections. The programme also reported gains in fellows’ confidence, decision-making and strategic clarity.

Sheraa CEO Sara Abdulaziz Al Nuaimi said the fellowship is designed to help founders manage the leadership challenges that come with venture growth. Women currently lead 49% of the ventures supported by Sheraa, according to the announcement.
