Qatari digital payments company SkipCash has secured a strategic investment from Qatar International Islamic Bank (QIIB) to support its growth and expansion across Qatar and the Gulf region.
Founded in 2019, SkipCash provides digital payment solutions for businesses. The company is licensed by the Qatar Financial Centre and regulated by the Qatar Central Bank. It currently serves more than 10,000 merchants and processed transactions worth over QAR 1 billion in 2025, according to the announcement.
SkipCash said the investment will help expand its payments infrastructure, accelerate product development, strengthen its merchant network and launch new fintech solutions. It will also support regional expansion through partnerships across GCC markets.
The investment follows SkipCash’s $4 million Series A round, backed by Qatar Development Bank, Qatar Islamic Insurance Company, KBN Holding Group, Finjan Venture Capital and Doha Tech Angels.
The deal highlights growing collaboration between Qatar’s banking sector and fintech startups as the country works to advance digital payments and financial technology.
