Snoonu Launches QAR 2M Fund for Qatar’s Local Merchants

Qatar-based super-app Snoonu has launched a QAR 2 million fund to provide growth capital to local merchants operating on its platform.

The Tamkeen Growth Fund for Local Merchant Partners will offer eligible restaurants, cafés, retailers and specialty stores between QAR 5,000 and QAR 35,000, based on sales performance. The funding carries no interest or fees, and merchants can use it without restrictions.

Repayment will be handled through standard payout cycles, with the amount gradually netted over six months. Merchants will not need to make separate payments, according to the company.

Thousands of local brands can apply through the Snoonu Merchant Portal until September 12, 2026. Eligibility and funding allocations will be assessed using a scoring model that considers a merchant’s partnership history with Snoonu, operational performance and demonstrated business growth.

The capital can be used for needs including operational expansion, equipment upgrades, inventory, team growth and other business investments.

“Our merchants are the backbone of Snoonu,” said Hamad Al-Hajri, the company’s founder and CEO. “We see their success as part of our own success.”
