Connecting Founders with Investors
A central feature of the conference was an exhibition where entrepreneurs presented their projects directly to potential investors and government representatives. This platform was designed to create networking opportunities and help convert promising ideas into productive businesses.
Abdul Latif Awad, Director of the Authority’s Latakia branch, stated that the conference allowed entrepreneurs from various provinces to exchange experiences and participate in training sessions to develop their projects. He emphasized that the exhibition provided a direct channel for participants to secure backing and transform their ideas into tangible investments that support economic growth.
SMEs as a Pillar for Economic Growth
The conference highlighted the critical role of small and medium-sized enterprises in driving economic activity and creating jobs. Atef Na’nou’, Director of the sponsoring Molham Team, noted that development isn’t solely reliant on large-scale investments. He affirmed that SMEs are a fundamental component for stimulating production and that his team would continue to support entrepreneurs.
Adding to this, Sami Al-Sufi, a board member of the Economists Syndicate in Latakia, pointed to the conference’s importance in providing technical, financial, and advisory support to entrepreneurs. He explained that such initiatives empower young people to turn their concepts into viable projects, which in turn helps revitalize the economy across different provinces.
