Tanta University’s Faculty of Commerce held a seminar on financial awareness, banking services and the Nile Pioneers initiative, bringing together students, graduates and representatives from the banking sector.
The session featured Omar El-Gohary, a business development specialist at Attijariwafa Bank Egypt, and was attended by academic coordinators from several faculty programs, including English-language studies, business information systems, accounting and fintech, and accounting and finance.
Discussions covered the Nile Pioneers initiative, which supports entrepreneurship and small and medium-sized businesses under the sponsorship of the Central Bank of Egypt. The seminar also addressed financial inclusion, saving, financial planning and safer ways to invest money.
Participants were introduced to banking products, services and digital solutions available in the market, along with ways to use them effectively. Students and graduates also raised questions about banking services and support available for new ventures.
According to the announcement, the event is part of the faculty’s efforts to connect academic learning with practical applications, strengthen cooperation with banking institutions and prepare students and graduates for careers in the financial sector.
