Three Moroccan startups will represent the country in the international finals of the 16th Orange Social Entrepreneurship Prize for Africa and the Middle East, POESAM 2026, after winning the national competition.
According to Orange Morocco, this year’s competition received 345 applications, with 14 startups reaching the national final. Their projects were assessed by a jury of Orange Morocco experts and officials based on innovation, business model scalability and potential social impact.
AgroLora took first place with a technology solution combining the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence to monitor farms and improve agricultural management. Invirtus ranked second with an AI-powered recruitment platform that evaluates candidates’ practical skills and matches them with labour market needs.
Arwa Solutions came third with a platform connecting farmers to advisers who use AI tools to support more sustainable farming practices and improve decision-making.
The three startups will receive support from Orange Digital Center and Orange Fab Maroc, including training, mentoring and assistance in accelerating growth and developing their business models. They will also compete in the international POESAM 2026 finals alongside startups from Africa and the Middle East.
Orange Morocco Managing Director Hendrik Kasteel said the group aims to help entrepreneurs turn solutions to real local challenges into projects with lasting impact, according to the announcement.
