Dubai-born children’s movement brand Pinpoint Fitness has opened its first international center in Nairobi, marking a new phase in its expansion beyond the UAE.
Founded in 2018 by Samer Hijazi, the company spent nearly two years building a franchise framework before pursuing international partners. That work included documenting its class structures, coaching methodology, curriculum, assessments and operating procedures, as well as developing coach and parent apps and AI-powered customer service tools.
According to Hijazi, Nairobi was selected primarily because of its franchise partner’s alignment with Pinpoint’s values and approach to child development, rather than market size alone.
All franchise coaches train and certify through the Pinpoint Coaches Academy. Students follow the same curriculum, 10-band ranking system and assessments used across the company’s locations. The company said this is designed to ensure children in Nairobi receive a comparable experience to those attending its centers in Dubai.
Pinpoint said it has trained more than 30,000 athletes and recorded over 500,000 group class attendances since 2018. The company is now exploring a mix of company-owned flagship centers and franchise sites across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
