The UAE’s push towards a fully integrated digital government has reached a new milestone, as the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) announced its official U.ae platform has surpassed 11 million users in the past year. The platform, designed as a single gateway for all government services, also registered over 18 million visits, signaling strong public trust and adoption of the nation’s digital initiatives.
Quick Facts
- Over 11 million users onboarded in 12 months.
- Recorded more than 18 million platform visits.
- Over 60% of all access was via smartphones.
A Unified Gateway to Government Services
The surge in user engagement highlights the platform’s effectiveness in streamlining access to government services from various entities across the country. According to TDRA, the average of 1.5 million monthly visits points to a growing reliance on U.ae as the primary and trusted touchpoint for public services.
H.E. Eng. Majed Sultan Al Mesmar, Director General of TDRA, commented on the achievement, stating, “This exceptional engagement with the UAE Government’s official platform reflects our wise leadership’s vision of making the UAE Government the fastest, most agile, and most responsive to the aspirations of society. We measure our success not only by the number of visits, but by the impact we create in people’s lives.”
He added that the platform is a “practical embodiment of our efforts to eliminate bureaucracy,” designed to place services directly at users’ fingertips.
High Demand for Visas Signals Global Talent Magnet
Data from the platform reveals that information related to visas and residency services was the most sought-after content, accounting for over 20% of total views. High interest in Golden Visa and tourist visa pathways underscores the UAE’s continued success in positioning itself as a global hub for talent, entrepreneurs, and investment.
Mobile-First and Inclusive by Design
Reflecting the country’s mobile-centric lifestyle, smartphones were the dominant method for accessing the platform, making up more than 60% of total usage. This trend confirms the government’s focus on providing flexible, on-the-go solutions for its residents.
To ensure broad accessibility, TDRA developed the platform using a design thinking methodology centered on user needs. This approach included aligning with digital accessibility policies to provide straightforward access for all members of society, particularly People of Determination, in line with international standards.
