UAE’s qlub Integrates Samsung Wallet to Modernize In-Restaurant Payments

2 Min Read

Dubai-based hospitality payment platform qlub has integrated Samsung Wallet, allowing diners with Galaxy devices to settle their bills directly at the table. The partnership aims to eliminate one of the most common friction points in the dining experience—waiting for the bill and card machine—by enabling near-instant payments through a simple QR code scan.

Quick Facts

  • Samsung Wallet is now a payment option on qlub.
  • Enables instant bill payment via QR code scan.
  • Aims to increase restaurant table turnover and efficiency.

A Smoother Checkout for Diners

For customers, the process is straightforward. Diners at participating restaurants can scan the QR code at their table, view the bill on their Galaxy device, and complete the payment in a few taps using their stored cards in Samsung Wallet. The feature also addresses the logistical headache of group dining by simplifying bill splitting.

Each transaction is secured using tokenization and Samsung Knox, which replaces sensitive card details with an encrypted digital token to protect user information.

Boosting Efficiency for Restaurants

This integration offers a significant operational advantage for hospitality venues. By turning the payment process into a self-service action, restaurants can speed up table turnover, a critical metric for profitability. It also allows waitstaff to focus more on providing quality service rather than managing payment terminals and processing transactions, especially during peak hours.

To use the new feature, Galaxy users need to download the Samsung Wallet app, sign in with their Samsung account, and add an eligible payment card.
