UAE-based AI and geospatial intelligence startup Stellaria has raised $6.8M (AED 25M) in a seed round backed by a group of angel investors. The deal values the company at $114M (AED 420M), according to the announcement.

The funding will support the expansion of Stellaria’s AI operating system for geospatial intelligence, strengthen its technical team and accelerate deployments across the UAE and international markets.

Founded in 2023 by Dr. Ali AlHammadi, Stellaria combines satellite imagery, geospatial data, AI models and analytical workflows in one platform. Its technology is designed to help organisations analyse activity across the physical world, with applications spanning defence, maritime and port operations, infrastructure and environmental monitoring.

The company’s capabilities include satellite imagery analysis, super-resolution, automated target recognition, satellite-derived bathymetry and environmental monitoring.

Stellaria said the new capital will help it develop scalable products, attract specialised talent and take UAE-developed space and AI technology into global markets. Its raise adds to the UAE’s growing pipeline of startups working at the intersection of artificial intelligence and space technology.
