UAE-based business solutions provider Transguard Group has entered into a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding with The Digital School (TDS) and the Centre of Excellence for Applied Research and Training (CERT). The agreement establishes a direct link between digital training programs and guaranteed employment opportunities, aiming to build a more skilled local workforce.
Quick Facts
- Partnership aims to create 1,000 jobs at Transguard.
- Part of a wider initiative to upskill 5 million learners.
- Initial focus on facilities and security training academies.
A Three-Way Pact for Workforce Development
The collaboration is a core component of the SkillED Academies initiative, designed to equip youth with practical skills for the job market. Under the agreement, the three entities will operate a cohesive framework: The Digital School will provide strategic leadership, CERT will design and deliver the training curriculum, and Transguard will act as the primary hiring partner, offering on-the-job training and clear career paths.
The first program to launch under the partnership is the Facilities, Security and Protection Academy, a sector where Transguard is a major employer.
Rabie Atieh, Chief Executive Officer of Transguard Group, stated that the partnership aligns with the company’s long-term commitment to developing talent. “By working closely with The Digital School and CERT, we are helping to shape job-ready talent through practical training and structured workplace integration, creating benefits not only for employers but for individuals, families and communities alike,” he said.
Dr. Waleed Al Ali, Secretary General of The Digital School, highlighted the initiative’s focus on economic empowerment. “Our partnership with Transguard Group, in collaboration with the Centre of Excellence for Applied Research and Training (CERT), and with the support of the Ataya initiative under the Emirates Red Crescent, represents an integrated model for this vision, enabling 1,000 employment opportunities for our trainees within Transguard Group.”
Mohammed Gheyath, Chief Executive Officer of CERT, added, “By leveraging our advanced expertise and strengthening integration across sectors, we are building a comprehensive ecosystem that directly connects training to employment, enabling learners to acquire highly job-ready skills that accelerate their integration into the workforce and align with future demands.”
Scaling Digital Education for High-Demand Sectors
This partnership builds on the significant scale already achieved by The Digital School, which has reached over 850,000 learners and trained more than 40,000 digital educators. The three organizations will maintain a continuous feedback loop to ensure the training programs remain aligned with the evolving needs of the labor market.
While the Facilities, Security and Protection Academy is the first to be delivered, the partners plan to roll out further specialized academies as the initiative grows. The goal is to create a replicable model for workforce training that can be adapted for other high-demand sectors across the region.
