Yemen’s University of Science and Technology, based in Aden, has signed a cooperation agreement with Muzalla Development Foundation to support entrepreneurship, youth empowerment and workforce development.

The memorandum aims to connect academic education with practical experience by preparing students and graduates for the job market, expanding training and employment opportunities, and supporting applied research and entrepreneurial projects, according to the announcement.

The partnership will include training programs, startup incubation, hackathons, scientific forums and capacity-building initiatives. It will also cover cooperation in digital transformation, artificial intelligence and the green economy, alongside knowledge exchange between the two organisations.

The university and foundation will work on joint programs, practical training opportunities and student initiatives, while seeking stronger partnerships with the public and private sectors. The stated goal is to develop skills that match labour-market needs and contribute to local development.

The agreement was signed by Abdulghani Hamid Ahmed, acting president of the university, and Mohammed Ahmed Yasslam, the foundation’s director of programs and projects.
